Kaiwa Consulting was established by Gene Schembri to provide consultancy services related to: facilitating group processes, developing training programs (concept to learning), developing print resources and providing the learning design for digital / online resources. Workforce planning advice complements the work we do in developing training programs.

Gene has a long professional association with the sport industry having worked for Gymnastics Australia (development and coach education), as Director of the Australian Coaching Council and various positions at the Australian Sports Commission including: international consultancies, management of sport education programs, establishment of e-learning -including the ASC’s learning management system, print and online course development, project management, strategy development related to building stronger connections between the sport and education sectors and working with external consultants to improve NSO IT strategy and capability.

In addition to serving as a foundation board member of the International Council for Coaching Excellence, Gene has been an Olympic gymnastics judge and coached at various clubs in Australia, Canada and England. Currently Gene is a reviewer for the Clearing House for Sport, the Australian sport sector information and knowledge sharing initiative.
